Urgent: NYS Park Police Seek Two After Boat Crash

In Buffalo, New York, authorities from the State Park Police are actively searching for two individuals following a boat accident that occurred on the Niagara River. The incident took place Wednesday night, just after 9:40 p.m., when a vessel collided with a concrete abutment near the North Grand Island Bridge.
Initial reports indicate that the boat was traveling at a high speed, exceeding 50 miles per hour. The individuals onboard are described as a male and female, both in their 60s. In response to the crash, at least eight police boats were deployed, along with Air 1, to assist in the search efforts.
The Park Police are currently engaged in reconstructing the accident and have temporarily halted their search operations around 3 a.m. They plan to resume their efforts on Thursday morning and will provide a statement outlining their preliminary findings later that day.
